3D models / BIM… the newest euphoria !!!

Nowadays many organisations are getting attractive towards 3D Models / BIM services. Why shall they not get attracted because it gives a visual aid to their vision. Now when we talk about “vision” does 3D modellers/agencies really fulfil it. I personally doubt on it, as I have came across many brilliant 3D modellers working in different domains and recently got a chance to deal with a client on the requirements of having a 3D fly through. Surprisingly, approach of the client and modellers differs like two ends of a river.

Client was looking things in micro detail and Modellers were worried about only one thing “Tell us what to model and the process of production”. Somewhere both of them were missing the bridge to a “Successful Model”. Now by “Successful Model” I mean which delivers the vision or the end requirement of the client within profitable efforts of the modellers.

Concentration on the subject could be:

Visualisation –
Key to a killer model and efficient production

Modelling – In modelling quality is not at which resolution you are rendering the model, but it is more of camera placements and panning.

Authorisation – This bit could be new to many modellers to incorporate in their models, as conventionally modellers create an animation of 10-15 minutes long. Whereas the end user might only need some time to show a 2 minutes part to their audience. Modellers can explore this value addition in their final product.
